Summer Days

I've not blogged in a while, but I think I am back on track. I have had camera trouble as well as computer trouble. Needless to say, I am extremely behind in posting orders and probably will not be able to post all of them, but I will try to post several within the next week or two.

I can't believe how fast summer is going by. We came in Sunday night and have stayed at the house the past three nights. It was a little strange considering we have only stayed at home 4 times since early June, but I just had way too much to do around town that I had to stay in for a couple of days. I especially had to be in today so I could vote. I am anxious to see who wins. We had an interesting conversation in the car today on our way to vote.

Sadie: "Do I get to vote?"

Me: "No, you have to be 18 to vote, but you can go in with me when I vote."

Sadie: "How many people do you vote for?"

Richard: "There are different offices that you are voting for. Some are for Sheriff, some are for Mayor, some are for county commissioner, and so on."

Sadie: "Oh"

Richard: "That's why there are so many different signs."

Sadie: "Oh. Well, I'm gonna run for Mayor when I'm 18."

Richard: "Great!"

We get ready to go in and vote and she continues to ask a million questions about who the candidates were and who we were voting for. We get inside and Sadie is talking to the lady at the booth.

Sadie: "I wish I could vote."

Lady: " You will be able to when you are 18."

Sadie: "Yeah, and I'm gonna be the mayor when I'm 18."

I wish you could have seen the lady's look. Priceless. Sadie turned and walked out.
I thought I would share some pictures of what our days are like at the lake.
Look at my babies in the water cheering me on :)

and yes I was screaming like a little girl as I hit the water

Here is Rich showing me how it is done

and Jason
I wish I had a picture of my friend Stephanie, but it was a blur. She did it too though!

They have it bad!
We usually make a stop at the grocery store on our way to the lake and I always have to pick up some magazines to read and Sadie decided to grab her one too. I don't watch much tv, but I love looking at the magazines late in the evening. I guess it's my tv at the lake.

doing a little fishing
Gavin loves a water hose. He would play with one for hours if I would let him. I also think it's one of Daisy's favorite things too. She goes wild when you spray a water hose. She loves swimming over to our neighbor's houseboats and the only way to get her to come back is to turn on the hose. Well, sweet 16 powder doughnuts work pretty good too.

My baby boy will be turning 4 next week. I just can't believe it.

Here are the kids playing with my fabrics.

How long has it been since you have seen one of these jet skis? Well, I have seen a few here lately, but I hadn't been on one in 20 years. It was a blast!

Daisy plays hard all day and by evening she is exhausted.

and so are the kids!
