Polkadaisies...spicing up a duvet cover for a college dorm

I put these initials on a duvet cover tonight for Miss Ali. She is heading to college in a few weeks and is trying to get everything ready for her new dorm room.

Check Ethan out in his Polkadaisies' shirt. Even better, he is at the beach. Ok it's a sign. I need to make another trip to the beach. Between the Krispy Kreme last night and getting this picture of Ethan at the beach today, I must go again...SOON!

Bounce House and Wasabi

We took the kids to the Bounce House yesterday and then headed to Wasabi Japanese Steak House which is the kids favorite. It's at the top of my list too! We then did a little shopping and headed home. To top things off, as if I wasn't already about to bust, we made a quick stop at the Krispy Kreme.

TOO much Michael Jackson

Gavin is waiting on his sister's cue to start
When your kids put on white socks and try to do the moon walk, you know you have watched too much Michael Jackson!

Polkadaisies...Back to school shirts

Here are a couple of school shirts for Miss Mary Grace who I just adore! How could you not! She is the sweetest, most polite child I know. We were so tickled when she got to come by the houseboat and play with the kids. They had a blast and a big adventure in the paddle boat. After they left, Richard looked at me and said "That is the most polite child I have ever met!" and she is. She is just so pleasant to be around. I hope that she rubbed off on my two just a bit. We have used her name all week. "Sadie, Mary Grace wouldn't act that way." I think it might take more that one visit with Mary Grace to have an affect on my kids :) Way to go P & L! She is a keeper!

The big catch!

Here is a picture of the big catch of the day from our morning fishing adventure and let me tell you, it is always an adventure!

Polkadaisies...chenille bear for baby Asher

I had forgotten how long it takes to make one of these little fellas, but it's always fun to see how they turn out with the mixture of chenille fabrics. I added an "a" to personalize it a bit because we all know that mothers (especially first time mommies) love names and initials on their baby's things. I can't wait to meet Mr. Asher!

Finished beans and now there is corn

My kids joined in on helping Nannie and Papaw with the corn. It's their favorite!

My night golf team

Night golf is always marked on our calendar. We haven't missed a tournament since they started having it. The first year we played, we won! We haven't won since :(
My dad's team won last night. Everyone was giving my brother a hard time saying that he had stacked his dad's team. Win or lose, we had a blast! Check out my team:Josh, Rich, me, and Lee

Polkadaisies...name shirt

Polkadaisies...closed up shop for fun, fun, fun

Sadie will be starting Kindergarten soon, so she had to get her 5yr checkup early Wednesday morning before we went to Pigeon Forge.
It looks like she is going to be a big girl like her mommy. I'm 5'11" and she is well above average on her height.
Getting her eyes checked was her favorite part

Gavin entertaining while we were waiting for the shots :(

The visit went good to horrible. She had to get four shots in her legs, which is way too much for a 5 year old. Shoot, it's too many for me! We got through it and played the rest of the day. We got out of the doctor's office a little after nine and headed to Dollywood. We made a stop on the way and played some games. I don't know who had the best time.

Dollywood

Never get in a spinning tea cup with Richard...just ask Gavin. He couldn't hold his head up.
