Polkadaisies...phone download

Day 1 of my Christmas vacation
Rich had to work so the kids, Daisy, my brother, and I piled up and watched Christmas movies.  The kids woke up this morning giggling because Glenn Allen ended up sleeping over.

Half my life!

Rich and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary today and I have now been married half my life!
It doesn't seem possible.  Where does time go?

Well Babe!  You're still the one... even after all these years!  I love you to pieces!
Happy Anniversary!

Polkadaisies...We wish you a Merry Christmas!

I can't believe it is already December and I can't believe how big my kids look in this year's Christmas pictures.  Boy!  They are growing way too fast for this momma!  I felt horrible this year because I didn't have time to make their Christmas outfits in time for pictures so I was flying through the closets the night before trying to put something together.  I hate going shopping for clothes.  It simply overwhelms me.  Now, if I can sit online and do it, I can shop with the best of them.  I waited to the last minute and couldn't get anything on-line so we went with stuff we already had.  I did squeeze in one Polkadaisies' item.  Gavin is wearing one of the star t-shirts under his vest :)

We had pictures at 9:00 am and it was freezing!  I'm not exaggerating...we were FREEZING!  Poor Sadie and those legs.  She was a trooper though.  They all were.  We had pictures the year before last and they weren't very cooperative.  I debated even doing them again so soon because I didn't know if I was over how they acted last time after I had spent an entire day shopping for them.  Rich being the worst of the three.  I love you babe but you were horrible!  He has redeemed himself.  They all did.
Rich and I knocked out a ton of shopping early last week.  I don't feel so overwhelmed with it now.
I guess you could say I get overwhelmed a lot during this time of year as everyone does.  My mom and dad both have birthdays in December, decorating the house,  my anniversary is in December, crazy amount of orders for Christmas, preparing for all the extras at school, cleaning up after the elves, and then all the shopping.  Whew!  I'm exhausted just thinking about it but I LOVE this time of year!
My kids are super pumped and are constantly asking if we can wrap presents.  Oh, add wrapping presents to the list of things to do.  haha!  I was going to let them wrap some last night but everything has pictures on the box.  I don't quite trust them keeping a secret with one another, so I let them help wrap my students' presents.  I have 19 students and after about 7 presents, they were done!  It wasn't near as exciting to them as wrapping their own gifts :)
After wrapping presents last night (while watching Christmas movies and eating cookies) I had to sit down and decide on a Christmas card.  Decisions, decisions!  Another one to add to the list of things that give me that overwhelming sensation.  Major overload looking at all of them.  I had a horrible time deciding.  I found a couple that I loved but the colors were all wrong for our pictures.  I finally decided on one but I hate that it doesn't say Merry Christmas.  It is all about Christ and not having that on the card bothers me :(
In the middle of all this chaos in December, my husband has been looking at boats.  He has the fever!  Yes, in December!  We have also been talking about buying me a new vehicle because it is time to let mine go bye bye!  I HATE looking for cars. I would almost drive the wheels off of mine to keep from having to think about getting a new one.   You would think it would be exciting to pick out a car, but not for me.  I don't like it because it overwhelms me.  hehe!  Rich has been talking a lot about cars and a lot about boats.  More boats than cars here lately.  I even thought he was buying a boat on Monday.  Man was I mistaken!  He told me to drive his vehicle on Tuesday because he was going to clean mine up (which would be an all day job).  I didn't think a thing about it until I opened the garage door after school Tuesday and saw my new ride sitting in the garage with a big red bow on it!  SCORE!!!!!  My man did good and there he sat inside it videoing me as I got out of the car.  How sweet is that!  I didn't have to put one thought into it other than letting him know what kind I wanted and "ding" there it was.  What a sweet feeling and I had NOOOOOO idea! He even went through the trouble of making that big red bow. (bonus points babe!) That's happened one other time in my life.  My dad pulled one over on me when I was in college.  I let my older brother borrow my car for a couple of days and he totaled it.  Dad surprised me one weekend when I came home from college with a new ride.  My brother informed me that I shouldn't be mad at him for totaling my car but that I should be thanking him for the upgrade.  ha!
The Cox kids have also been sick most of the week so we have not been on schedule with anything.  They are starting to feel a little better but not completely.  I hope we get back on track soon.
I hope everyone is enjoying this time of year with friends and family as I am.  Christmas will be here before we know it!

I must add a big thank you to Rebekah with Southern Charm Portraits for our pictures.  She always does an amazing job (even when they don't cooperate) and we think the world of her!  I still think about how her one little email to me years ago was such a blessing and the beginning of a great friendship.  I appreciate her friendship, adore her family, and admire the person she is.  Thank you again Rebekah...YOU ROCK!!!!!

Merry Christmas!

Happy Birthday to Emmy and Reagan!
They are two of the sweetest girls I know...Love them!
Their mom Rebekah, from Southern Charm Portraits,  sent me a picture of their invites and told me to do whatever I wanted. Now that makes a person feel good when they trust your opinion to do whatever.  Thanks friend ;)

I don't know anyone who loves Hello Kitty more Emmy!

Reagan decided to share her birthday with her dog Dixie :)

Polkadaisies...A lot of this and that!

I am so behind on blogging and I don't think it is possible to get caught up.  I use to do so good about putting new items on the blog, but it just seems like I can't find the time any more.  My kids are starting to get more involved in after school activities and I am sewing as much as I possibly can so I guess the blog is the last thing to get finished.  With that being said, I have downloaded a bunch of cuties to share with you.  I hope to do better with the blogging once I get through all the Christmas orders.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

We spent Wednesday at my sister-in-law's house eating tons of food and did it all over again today at my parents' house.  It was such a nice relaxing two days especially since the only thing I had to prepare was a cake.  It did take 4 trips to the store before I got it finished but that is nothing compared to what was prepared by Richard's sister and mom and my mom.  I can't wait for left overs tomorrow!

I imagine that tons of people are out shopping tonight or getting ready to shop, but it's just not my cup of tea!  Don't get me wrong...I LOVE to shop!  I just rather do it on-line and it looks like shopping is going to be pretty simple this year for my kiddos.  Sadie is asking for  American Girl Doll stuff, diamond earrings, and a new pandora charm.  Gavin wants legos and a turn table.  All of which I will get online :)

Kids say the funniest things:

Gavin is terrified of Big Foot and hides, closes his eyes, plugs his ears, and hums every time the previews come on tv about a show that talks about sightings of big foot.  Well, today, while I was cooking breakfast, Gavin was flipping through the channels and stopped on the channel that was showing the previews.  I couldn't believe he stopped to watch it.  Richard walked through and heard the tv and knew exactly what was on and looked at Gavin to see what was going on.  Gavin shrugged his shoulders and told him that he had "decided to face his fears".  LOL!

Polkadaisies...Memphis Tigers Baseball Hoodies

I've been waiting on this picture for a while, but it was worth the wait!

His Mom and Mimi are sporting their Polkadaisies' hoodies...love it!
