The last of it...

I've checked shipping and everything has made it to their destination and these were the last items to be picked up today. I'm finished! It's done! Now, let the fun begin!!!!

I can't even begin to tell you how crazy things have been around here. I thought last year was madness, but it doesn't hold a candle to what has went on this year. I don't know how I made it, but I can officially say I did! I'm finished and will be spending the next two weeks with my family. They will not have to sneak out of bed late at night to come find me up sewing. They will find me laying right beside them, holding on tight to the ones I love (That's right Gavin...You won't have to keep my spot warm because I'll be there!).

I can't even claim to have done it all myself so I must give a big thank you to everyone who helped with the madness! Mom, Dad, Karen, Heather, Stephanie, and Jason...I owe you all BIGTIME!!!!

It's just some sneak peeks...school spirit hoodies, name hoodies, and tote bags!

These quick pictures from my phone are about all I am capable of at this time. I will definitely try to get back in the swing of blogging orders better, but it just takes so much time. Here are some sneak peeks at some items that I finished over the weekend.

The look says it all!!!

Monday...just about got the best of me!!! You probably don't want to hear all of this but it might just make you think that your day isn't so bad :) Daisy's face says it all.

I didn't lay down Sunday night (Monday) until 4:00am and got back up at 6:00. I was surprised at how well I felt with only 2 hrs of sleep, but I did feel pretty good and was ready to tackle the day. I took Sadie to school and went in for a little bit to talk to the teacher I work with only to find out that there had been issues at school that I didn't expect. The day went from "Yes, I can do this!" to "I just want to go home." I couldn't hang around so I had to leave unfinished business and head to the doctor for a follow up to a surgery (not serious and not the kind that does wonders for your body haha) I had last month. I headed in to the big city and traffic was horrible. I even had to call and tell them I was gonna be a few minutes late because I couldn't find a parking place. Finally, I found one and then walked a good half mile to the doctor's office only to be told that MY APPOINTMENT WASN'T UNTIL 3:30. I could have puked since it was only 9:30. So, I walked back to my car (now I have walked a mile) and headed back to school. I made it back by lunch but at that point I not only wanted to go home but I really wanted my mommy. LOL! Kidding! I did just want to go home and call it a day, but since I spent Friday in Nashville (Hall & Oates concert), I didn't want to miss out on being able to teach my kids. The day did get so much better, but I was exhausted. The feeling of thinking I could tackle the day left me not too long after I had it. Oh, one more goodie. While I was driving back to school, I got a call saying that I had missed Gavin's dentist appointment. Jeez! Mother of the year here! At that moment I became drained. Who has time to be exhausted during this time of year though. Not me!!! I had my reinforcement coming to help me work soon after school and I couldn't waist that opportunity. Within two days we cut out 38 sets of names for hoodies. Yep...knocked out lots of orders and it felt good! The next week is gonna be crazy but atlleast I now feel like it is doable. I guess you could say that I do see the light at the end of the tunnel...barely! Tuesday...big improvement although I did have to go to the dentist after school. Laying in the chair listening to soothing Christmas music wasn't so bad. The day was good but then it stepped on up a notch. I got home and my husband had supper ready. Awwwww!!!! It was delicious!!!! Now, I can hardly hold my head up. This gal is shutting down real soon tonight. I had big hopes of getting some things accomplished but it's just not gonna happen tonight. I spent every ounce of energy I had making ornaments with my kids after supper. We used fake snow and glitter in the kitchen with a 5 year old and 7 year old. Need I say more?

Monday...bad, Tuesday...much better, Wednesday is gonna be great! (fingers crossed because I am taking the glitter and fake snow to make ornaments with my class tomorrow).

Wow...I feel so much better now and I hope by making ornaments with my kids tonight that it cancels out the fact that I missed a dentist appointment for Gavin :)

More Elf Magic (Elf on the Shelf)

The elves cut up one of Sadie's scarves and tied it together to get into the freezer. While cutting, they decided to make themselves a scarf too!

I guess Elissa is getting Jamie back for the little ride in the Tonka truck. The kids found Jamie inside a balloon hanging from the fan this morning. I think Elissa was enjoying the fact that Jamie was stuck inside a balloon a little too much. Haha!

It's crunch time!!!

I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner. I have lots to do but I'm usually a lot more productive during crunch time. I spent Thursday and Friday in Nashville enjoying some time with my husband and friends (had to pull an all nighter Wednesday night sewing just to be able to go but it was worth it). Rich went to Kid Rock last month on my behalf and I went to Hall & Oates this week on his behalf. LOL! I'm joking. He didn't have to twist my arm to go. I wouldn't pass up an invite to visit Nashville nor an invite to a concert. We ate at a great restaurant that I recommend if you are ever in Nashville. It was called Morton's. Look it up if you would like a great meal and a fabulous dessert! Sorry that I have been horrible with posting orders lately, but I just haven't had the time. I have put a few up from last month and will try to get a few more up later.

After a great couple of days, we are back to reality here at the house. Rich is having to spend the weekend at work and I will be sewing most of the weekend. Well, as much as my kids allow. So far, not so good. Looks like I may have to wait to get at it later tonight. I did get to go out today and watch one of my students play basketball. I must say that he did great as well as the rest of his team! Way to go Jack!

I also want to let everyone know that the tie dye hoodies came in last week and I have started on those orders. I will get them to you before Christmas.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Elf Magic is happening here!

Meet Elissa & Jamie
who arrived at our house last week
and immediately the mischief began
(laudry room making snow angels out of laundry detergent)

playing a little game of operation
horseback riding
tonka toys and hanging with friends
I think Elissa got the bad end of the deal
rolling the Christmas tree in the toy room

My kids have had a blast with these little elves.
I am so glad Santa sent them to us!
More to come!!!
