Polkadaisies & Southern Charm Portraits

The photo shoot with Southern Charm Portraits is next week and I have been working hard on getting some outfits ready. I had ordered oodles and oodles of fabric about two weeks ago so that I would be prepared and it finally came yesterday. I was working away yesterday when Richard brought the huge box up to me. I was soooo excited. It was almost like Christmas. I asked Rich to open it up and take the fabric out so I could see. My stomach sunk as I looked at the fabric,and it wasn't from pure excitement from what you would almost call a sugar overload with me as I have an addiction to fabrics, but rather from the sickness I feel when I have almost finished a cute outfit and something crazy happens and ruins it. IT WAS THE WRONG ORDER!!!! They had sent me someone else's order. What was I to do? I just had to laugh about it because that is how things roll with me most of the time. Luckily, I had been to my favorite store last week and had purchased some back up fabric. Probably a little more than backup fabric because it was hard for me to even carry it all out to the car. It was meant for me to buy it, as I can see now. It's funny how things just always seem to work out.

I am really excited about this session with SCP. The last one went great and I hope that this one will go just as smooth. The setting will be a totally different look than the last one.We won't even be using the bathtub this time. BUT...I bet Rich wishes we were taking the bathtub after what he has been through this past week. He (with some help from my dad) has worked hard all week on a very special prop that we will be using. I will share more about that later.

I will try to post a sneak peek of the items I have already made, but I don't want to show too much. I finished an outfit for Miss Reagan last night and I think it is my new FAVORITE outfit.
