Polkadaisies..."Rainy Days and Mondays"

Here is Sadie wearing the "Rainy Days and Mondays" basic twirl skirt and bella tank. The rain passed through pretty quickly, thank goodness! We didn't let it put a damper on things and as you can see...Sadie was enjoying herself!

Now, you need to visualize my husband up on a ladder holding a stick. He rains down on us

quite often! (look honey, I used the correct quite/quiet haha!) LOL! I must give a big shout out to my man. He always plays a big roll in the photo shoot by helping with what ever Rebekah and I need. There is always something big involved when Rebekah and I start turning those wheels. Rebekah had Rich help with a huge, antique, heavy bathtub with our first shoot and I mean it was HEAVY! Then, for one shoot Richard had to work on our old car for two weeks to get it running. It was worth it though! This year we were at it again, but I won't spill the beans just yet! So, Thank you Richard for all you do to help!

I hope all your wishes come true Sis!

I L-O-V-E this picture!

Rebekah is so creative with her work. I know I have said it before, but I love what she does and am so fortunate to get to work with her on doing what we love !

Polkadaisies..."Summer Blush" maggie dress

Here is Miss Willow again wearing the "Summer Blush" maggie dress. I can't say it enough, but Willow is absolutely precious.

Check out my quilts...The one on the left (green & yellow) was a wedding gift from my Granny Pearl who made it herself, and the one on the left is one handed down through the family.
I was so pumped about the tent idea when Rebekah shared the idea with me. I must also give a big shout out to Rebekah's dad for making it for her. Gotta love our dads! I know that even as old as I am now (scratch that) as young as I am, I still depend on my dad for so much. It's always kinda been a joke with me and Rich. If I need Richard to do something and he acts like he is not real thrilled about it, then I just tell him it's fine because I KNOW my dad will do it. Haha!
Rebekah and I both have been blessed with the most wonderful parents who help us in so many ways.

Polkadaisies..."By the Sea"

I can see why Reagan would inspire someone to be a photographer. She is so photogenic. Every time I show my dad pictures from SCP he always follows up with saying how photogenic Reagan is. She is such a fun kid to be around and I always look forward to seeing her in the outfits I make her.

Reagan had on an outfit I made her one day and had shoes and a hair piece on that didn't match. Rebekah told her that it didn't match and she told Rebekah that it was ok just not to send me a picture. LOL! Love that girl!

Polkadaisies...Puppy Love

Here is my Sadie who is the reason I do what I do. I myself was such a tom boy growing up and I think a lot of the reason for me not wanting to wear a shirt with my cut off blue jeans in the summer was because I have an older brother. I wanted to do what he did :) I grew out of it (thank goodness) and always wished that if I had a little girl that she would be as girly as they come. Well, my wish came true because this little thing is as prissy as they come. She is the little girl that I dreamed of. My Sassy Sadie!

I've mentioned her love of dogs so you can imagine how excited she was when Rebekah told her that she got to be the one photographed with the puppies. Gavin didn't care if he was photographed with them or not as long as he got to play with them. The puppies were adorable! We enjoyed getting to play with them. All attention was on the pups once they arrived. I think the puppies had a good time too!

Polkadaisies...Tea for Two

Meet Miss Willow
Willow is such a sweet little girl. I have known her mother for years but this was the first time I had gotten to meet Willow. She is simply adorable. I have never worked with a child that was so cooperative. You could definitely tell she had worked the camera before. You will see more of her later along with her twin brother who was just as sweet :)

Polkadaisies...Rise & Shine tank top dress and ruffle capris

I can't tell you how much time Rebekah spent working on props. I was so thankful that she spent a couple of those evening up in the sewing room with me. It always helps with the late nights when you have company. Although she didn't mention them when posting on her site, I can't leave out the hot air balloons she made. These were very tricky and I am so glad she got a picture of them all in the air. Too cool!
Here is Miss Laila again wearing the Rise & Shine tank top dress and ruffle capris.
I thought this outfit was perfect for her dark skin, hair, and eyes. She is beautiful and lots of fun. I was so excited when Rebekah told me she was going to be in the shoot. I knew exactly who she was referring to because I have watched her grow through Rebekah's photography. She has always caught my attention when looking through SCP's blog. How couldn't she get your attention!? Those curls and eyes get me every time :)

Polkadaisies...If this isn't the sweet life, then I don't know what is!

Here are the SCP girls wearing their "Strawberry Fields" knot dresses with ruffle pants. I totally missed this set because I was helping get some outfits on the other cuties while Rebekah took these. How refreshing is this? It screams exactly what I love...summer in the country! Sitting on a porch swing eating strawberries is perfect for these home grown girls. You can tell they love them! I don't like to eat strawberries (imagine that!) but I do think they are so tasty looking. I have tried to like them. I mean, my all time favorite thing as a child was Strawberry Shortcake dolls. How can I not like strawberries? Well, it is all about the texture. Although they are so pretty and appetizing looking to me, when I put them in my mouth it all goes down hill. These girls are the best and like my kids they are totally different in a great way. I love them both!

I just love the lighting and softness in these. It's just perfect!

It's so obvious that she loves them!

Polkadaisies...2011 photo shoot (Ryen)

Here is Miss Ryen wearing the "Tea for Two" ruffle skirt and coordinating flower tank. Now these were some balloons and I am still trying to figure out how I ended up with all three of them. They lasted forever! I finally had to snip them while the kids weren't looking because every time I walked through the house at night they would scare me to death. I wouldn't recommend more than three...LOL...unless you want a kid to go bye bye!

Ryen brought her yellow rain boots which looked adorable with the outfit. Ryen seemed very shy but as soon as the camera came out she lit up and showed that sweet personality. Love them!

Polkadaisies...2011 photo shoot

I have been so excited about this year's photo shoot with Southern Charm Portraits. I gave Rebekah fabric swatches a week or so before the shoot and I could not believe what all she came up with. Everything you see, other than the outfits, was all SCP. Well, almost everything. All these cuties that participated would have to be credited to someone else (minus her three cuties), but I take my hat off for everything she came up with. We have done a few shoots in the past and I continue to be amazed at her work. She couldn't give me a straight answer on whether or not to do two fabrics or just one on the pillows in one of the upcoming sets (ha ha!), but when it comes to the camera and the work that goes into making beautiful portraits she has all the answers.

You will have to keep checking back here for much more to come. I am SOOOOO excited to share them with you. We hope to post more each day. If you are over anxious you can jump over to Southern Charm Portraits and take a peek at more. She is a little ahead of me on posting.

Up first is Miss Laila! She is modeling the "By the Sea" halter dress with a custom "By the Sea" headpiece. Is she a doll!

What a doll!
Seems like I've seen this pose before :)

I hope graduating kindergarten was a blast. I can't imagine a funner outfit for the graduating duck class :)
