Southern Charm Portraits RoCkS!!!!

We recently had our family picture made with Southern Charm Portraits and the sneak peak is now up on their site. you can click Here to view them. This is the first family pictures that we have had made professionally since 2004 other than a few shots that Rebekah has snapped during our photo shoots. I was sooo excited. Boy, planning for pictures is a lot of work. I almost think it was as hard as planning for our photo shoots. I know that my family was not near as cooperative as the participants in them. It got down to the day before and I still didn't know what I was going to wear nor did I know what the kids and Rich were going to wear. I made a trip to Knoxville Friday and spent hours getting things together. I have no idea why I took the fam with me because they were not a bit of help. Richard acted worse than the kids. LOL I didn't worry so much about Sadie because I had made her a skirt for fall that she hadn't worn yet and I thought it would be perfect. Gavin on the other hand has outgrown everything. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted and making a decision on colors was about to make my head explode. Finally, with the pressure of things closing, I made a decision. Every item he had on came from a different store. Nothing is ever easy when you need something. I never did get time to find me something and we grabbed Rich a shirt on the way out. Once I got out to the car, I realized Gavin didn't have ANY shoes to wear. I almost laugh when I say that because I am such a shoe person and my kids always have way too many pairs of shoes, but really, he didn't have one pair that fits. His shoes consisted of one pair of flip flops and one pair of tennis shoes that are too big. Rich stopped and let me out at the door and I ran in to grab a pair of shoes. The doors were closing as I came back out. Shew!!! I was exhausted. Now things didn't get any better come picture time. Gavin fell asleep on the way and we had to wake him up. You can imagine the mood he was in. They were wild and not cooperative at all. I was so upset when we finished because even Richard was not so cooperative. I had such big expectations and then all that went down the drain after they acted the way they did UNTIL... I saw the pictures. I don't know how Rebekah did it, but she did. I love the pictures! They are exactly what I wanted. I am always amazed at her talent, but even more amazed at the person she is. It's pretty amazing! A professional, a mother of three, a wife, a daughter, a sister, and a great friend. She has such a strong faith and it is truly inspiring. Oh, and she is a singer too! I am really thankful for her making that effort to reach out to me in efforts of doing things together in our businesses, but most of all I am thankful that the businesses brought about a friendship. Thank you Rebekah for everything!

I will post some pictures of our session later on in the week.
