A long weekend and lots of play

On any given pretty day in the summer, you will probably find us at the house boat enjoying all the fun activities at the lake. Summer time is here!!! I guess this might explain why I am posting so many personal pictures today instead of Polkadaisies' orders. TOO MUCH FUN! BUSTED! I will post some things later tonight because I have done a little work, but I needed a few days off to enjoy time with the family.

I know most could probably do without the pictures of us, so just scroll fast. I have to put some of us on there because we look at the blog too :)

Here is Mr. Gavin looking all pouty because he didn't get his way and below is him looking all sweet laying on the back of the boat, but really it is the end of his melt down from not getting his way.

This is the best. I love laying in the back of the boat,riding down the lake late of the evening

after getting my belly full from the dock food. YUM YUM!

Polkadaisies...personalized name throw

This personalized throw will be given as a graduation gift from one friend to another. I can remember decorating my dorm in college and this would have been so cute. My colors were different (pink & green), but I would have loved to have had a personalized comforter or throw.

Polkadaisies...for Morgan and Chloe

My heart goes pitta pat, pitta pat

I know that I have mentioned how close I am to my family, but I probably haven't mentioned how close I live to them. Richard and I built a house on the lot behind my mom and dad's and I wouldn't have it any other way. The sound of my mom hollering "supper is ready" causes us all to start running up the hill.

I was sitting on my back porch yesterday enjoying some quiet time and watching Gavin tell my dad a big story about the cows in the field beside us. Just the sight of the two of them sitting there makes my heart melt. My kids absolutely adore their papaw and I completely understand because he has always had me in the palm of his hand too...daddy's girl! Just ask my brother...mama's boy!
