This one is for my neighbor at the lake. How cool would it be to have the name Mrs. Apple as aschool teacher? haha! I guess that would depend on how cool Mr. Apple was! ;)
(btw...he's pretty cool just ask my kids)

I am a bit behind on blogging, but I did want to share my kids' first day of school.
I can't believe my baby started school this year. This was his first day of Kindergarten. He was so excited and was ready and waiting at the door with his backpack and lunchbox. I on the other hand was struggling to get moving. I hate getting up when it is dark and it always takes me weeks to adjust from all of the bad habits that come with being off all summer.
My little 3rd grader. She started school a few days before Gavin and like me, she had a hard time getting up. I guess you could say we weren't as excited as Gavin.
She is heading to class without her mommy this year. It's been an adjustment not getting to be with her all day, but she loves 3rd grade (minus all of the homework).
If you know me well, you know that I LOVE my Mt. Dew in the morning. I only drink one a day, but it's a must to have it in the morning. I guess you could say it is my coffee. (since I don't drink coffee) I walked in to my room and my co-worker had left me a nice, generous can of Dew. Thanks friend ;)
Sadie and Gavin holding hands walking in to assembly.
Richard picked Gavin up from school on his first day and I couldn't wait to call and see what all he said about his first day. Gavin told Rich that "he wasn't real impressed" with school. I got so tickled because I am his teacher and how in the world could I ever compete with "Papaw Preschool"?

I am always so excited when SCP (Rebekah) takes the kids' pictures. I was on the road heading to Nashville yesterday when she started tweeting about all of the "back to school" pictures she was blogging and I was so excited. THEN...she stopped just a kid or two before she got to mine. I was so bummed because it's always like getting a much anticipated gift that you know you will love. I quickly became pre-occupied with being in Nashville and didn't check my phone for a few hours until my friend leaned over (during the Kiss and Motley Crue concert intermission) and asked if I had seen the pictures yet. I was thrilled because I LOVED my "gift". Thank you Rebekah!!! Amazing as always!
