Jingle Bell Rock dance

Sadie was so excited about our Jingle Bell Rock dance at school. It was her first official dance. She wore her Santa Rocks outfit, which I thought was perfect for the occassion. Eva and Lacey came too and they had lots of fun!

Ok, I almost laugh out loud when I look at this picture of me and Sadie. I was very rushed to get everyone ready for the dance and waited to the last minute to grab something out of the closet to wear. The funny part is what I grabbed to wear. I wanted something that was festive since there were going to be lots of little ones there and the first thing I saw was this sweater. It does have a couple things going for it. The first being all the colors and the second being that it matches Sadie. That's about it though. It also has a couple things that aren't going for it. I have had it for many, many years and could flip through our photo albums and find myself wearing it in several different (years) Christmas pictures. It is also hotter than fire and adds about 15lbs to me. I bet there are several of you that have seen this sweater before yourselves and some of you may have even worn it. I even have the scarf to match :) I am in the Christmas spirit and will be doing a drawing for everyone who leaves a comment here on this post. The winner will receive a Polkadaisies' Christmas pillowcase. Be nice with the comments because Santa is watching. I would also love to know if any of you know what brand it is. LOL

It took forever to get my kids to stand beside one another so I could snap a picture. I only had my phone with me, so if they moved in the least it was blurry and they couldn't stand still. I bet I took 20 and finally threated them with Bonefish. It worked! I finally got one that I would settle for and we got to eat at Bonefish. Check out the tree behind them. I needed a tree this year for school since it was my first year back in the classroom in several years. I called my mom and asked her if she had an extra one and she told me to stop by and she would give me one. I loaded it up and took it to school. Most teachers have a much smaller version in their rooms, but not me. LOL I have this huge tree thanks to my mom. Everyone has gotten a big laugh out of it though. Leave it to mom. She takes care of me.

I thought I would share a video clip from the dance. I thought the kids were hilarious dancing. You even get to see a little girl trying to ask Gavin for a dance. Of course he did not like that at all, but me and his daddy got a kick out of it. One day I'm sure he will have a different outlook on girls wanting to dance with him, but not now. He wasn't very nice about it at all. You even get to see a little sisterly and brotherly love. We couldn't get through the night without a quick fight between the two.
