Polkadaisies...TWINS!!!!

It's definitely not me having twins, but I have had two customers in the past week who are having twins and a boy and girl would be perfect! My dad always teased me that I might have twins because of the way they run on both sides of my family and I thought for a few days that it might just be the case. I'll never forget my first ultrasound when I was having Sadie. It was exciting just because we were having a baby. Rich was laughing and sorta joking about having twins when I heard the doctor say. "Wow, look there. You have two sacks!" Of course, I responded with, "What does that mean?" Long story short, you could clearly see two sacks, but one was smaller than the other. I had to wait until the following week to get another ultrasound. The next week, one sack was growing and the other was still small. We went back for a third ultrasound and there was clearly just one baby. The doctor told me that I was as close to having twins that you could be without actually having them.
This will be number 2 and 3 for both customers. That is very exciting and probably a little bit overwhelming. Here is a little info that might make numbers 2 and 3 look like a "piece of cake." My aunt had 12 kids and the last two were twins. That's what I call "going out with a bang."

Some would call it trash!

When we finally got ready to decorate our bedroom at the houseboat, I was up in the air about what to do. My home is reds, yellows, blacks, and greens so I wanted to do something a bit different than I normally would. I decided on a "Tiffany blue" and light yellows. We salvaged a dresser that was on our old houseboat. We bought our first houseboat almost 16 years ago and the people who had owned it previously left it on there and if you would have seen it, you would have known why they threw it in. The knobs were broken and you couldn't even tell what color it was. For some reason, we never got rid of it. Richard even went through the trouble of getting it off the old boat and storing it in the basement. He's learned over the years that alot of the things we store in the garage and basement can be turned in to something I love. He has even grown to like my visions. Haha! We starting moving furniture the weekend before the fourth and this dresser was one of the things we brought. I sent Richard in one evening after some paint and he brought back the perfect color. I painted it yellow and then roughed the edges up with a sander. The previous color came through a little at the edges and brought out the blue in the walls. I had found these cute knobs a year or so ago and never had anything to use them on and they were perfect for this. I wish I had a good before picture so you could see the difference, but it now is a perfect fit in our room. I bought my bedding and made me a dust ruffle. I found my cool lamp at Marshals and our room doesn't like much. I am going to make some throw pillows to add some other colors.

Beach 2010

My mom, dad, and uncle watching the kids ride rides

Sadie and her cousin CoraPapaw came out to help his boy boogie board. People get confused about what to call Gavin because my family calls him Richie, but he answers to several things. haha!

Gavin is watching on as my girl hit two hole in ones in a row. She made us all look bad!
Think Gavin likes the silly bands?

All the kids piled up on my dad's tube to enjoy the lazy river

The girls always look forward to their night out dressing the same. This is what Sadie picked out this year. We headed out to Broadway at the Beach and ate at Sadie's favorite restaurant Japanese Steakhouse.

I think their faces say it all! Great times!
Sadie is still wearing her original "sadie style" skirt that I made 3 seasons ago. She has outgrown two shirts that I have made to match this and this is her third, but the skirt still fits great.
