Back to reality!

We just got back from the beach today and I thought I would share some pictures from our trip. Fun, fun, fun!!!
I couldn't wait to put my feet in the sand!

Miss Emmy couldn't wait to eat the sand! This is her just before she dug in!

Not only did the kids enjoy riding their bikes, but I did as well. I hadn't been on a bicycle in years, but it was so nice. It almost made me think about riding one at home, but then I came to my senses. Riding at home, to burn a few pounds, would not be near as fun as riding a bike at the beach.
Safety first! Right Reagan?
This one is for Daniel. I was shocked at the amount of deer we saw one evening on the way to dinner. AND THEN...we visited the Barnyard Museum. Who would have thought that you might see all of these at the BEACH!

Only a regular could have figured out this trick. Daniel put food in a tin cup and sent it up to the top of the stairs to feed a goat who was up at the top waiting.

We also made a stop at the Lollipop shop. It wouldn't be a trip without stopping at the candy store!
I usually make a trip to the Krispy Kreme every evening while I am at the beach, but on this trip we had to make a stop at the Marble Slab every evening. Some (no names mentioned) made the stop twice on Sunday :)
I wanted to bring this chair home with me. Gavin couldn't stay awake once he sat down in it. It would be a great "time out" chair.

I hated coming home today and hate it even more knowing some people are still enjoying themselves. LOL It's back to reality! While we were gone, we got a call saying that there had been a bad storm Friday night, and that our houseboat had been damaged. Come to find out, the roof blew off. My dad and brother went out and brought some things in, but they had to leave alot. I hate the fact that it has rained all day and our things are just getting soaked. We have had our houseboat for almost 15 years and we have needed to do some work on it, but we didn't have this much work in mind. It doesn't look good for "old faithful" and we will probably have to start from scratch. To top today off, I was brushing my teeth and my crown came off and went down the drain. Bummer! Luckily, I have a dad that is here at the drop of a hat and he retreived my crown! What does tomorrow hold? More reality...WORK!
